Poetry for a Purpose
There is a sound that comes from a person who knows it all,
A voice that rises higher than the wisdom they never recall.
They carry answers for battles they have never faced,
Drawing maps through lands they have never traced.
They speak of success like they built every stone,
Yet their own foundation remains unknown.
They describe the journey with confidence and pride,
But have never walked through the valleys where lessons reside.
They create perfect blueprints for another person's life,
Offering solutions to every struggle and every fight.
They can design the future with words so clear,
But their own unfinished walls reveal what they fear.
They understand the theory behind every dream,
But not the sacrifice hidden beneath the seam.
They see the harvest but ignore the seed,
They want the reward without planting what they need.
They believe success arrives with the opening of a door,
As if opportunity appears without asking for more.
They miss the quiet mornings and the sleepless nights,
The failures, the lessons, and the invisible fights.
Their ego becomes a mirror facing only one way,
Reflecting their opinions while blocking what others say.
They speak to teach but refuse to receive,
They want understanding but struggle to believe.
The saddest part is not that they think they are right,
It is that they cannot see their own missing light.
They have created a story where they are the star,
A legend in their mind that has traveled too far.
But true wisdom does not need to announce its name,
It does not seek attention or chase after fame.
It listens before speaking and learns before teaching,
Understanding that growth is always within our reaching.
So the question is not what do you know,
The question is whether your actions truly show.
Can you receive the same wisdom you freely give?
Can you humble your heart enough to continue to live?
Because an empty ego creates the loudest sound,
But true wisdom is found when humility is found.
The strongest minds are not afraid to see,
That growth begins when we admit what we do not know honestly.
The echo of an empty ego will eventually fade,
But the foundation of humility will never be afraid.
